Three Ways I Use Meridian: Country Holidays, Campaigns, and Scratch Notes

I still ship and grow other apps. User acquisition is not magic, but one thing is bluntly practical: whether people in a given country are off for a holiday that day changes impressions, conversion, and cost. I do not want to keep googling “is Japan off today” or “does the US have a long weekend this week,” and I do not want to babysit a giant spreadsheet for it.

Daily Holiday Context

Meridian, for me, starts as a quick daily read on the countries I track. I only care about a few markets; it puts the holiday picture in front of me, and I get a feel for when to lean into spend versus pull back, which day is reasonable for new creative, which day the whole chain might run half a step slower. It does not decide for me. It removes the lookup and the guessing. When you are the developer who is also product and ops, that small cut in friction matters.

Quick To-Dos, Not a Project Manager

The second use is plain: what I need to do today. Not a heavyweight task system with projects, tags, and team sync—just not forgetting. I will be in the middle of code, remember I need to tweak copy tonight or answer an email tomorrow, drop it on that day, and skim it at night so nothing slips. I want the tool fast and in context, ideally right next to that day’s timeline, not another app and another hunt for the right list.

Parking Half-Baked Ideas

The third is dumping half-baked ideas into notes. I have been thinking Meridian could add something like “unlock a cold fact”—a small bite of trivia tied to the day or place, not necessarily useful but a little fun, maybe enough to bring someone back the next day. That kind of thought used to evaporate. Now I park it in a note. When I actually prioritize work, I at least have a hook instead of telling myself I will remember I ever thought it.

Not Another All-in-One

So Meridian is not “another all-in-one” on my phone. It is calendar context plus quick capture in one stack: what the world is doing today, what I am doing today, what floated through my head. If you run geo-targeted campaigns or you simply juggle enough that things fall through the cracks, this workflow is enough—you do not need a polished system, you need something you will actually open.
